The morning after we had some more trekking to do before reaching the river after a long descent. We spent some time there admiring the river itself and the unbelievable force just a few feet in front of us. As a friend noted: ¨there are 3 things you can watch endlessly - a burning fire, a nice waterfall and someone else doing your job¨ on the way back we where hitchhiking and found out that a massive landslide had destroyed the road. In total there where 3 landslides and we are lucky to be among the living and not under the rocks as it all happened an hour before we got our first lift. After walking some distance we got another lift on a top of a truck carrying a huge cistern. Health and safety would not approve but we definitely had a view of the valley that not many have shared before…
